Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who sees it and how long we keep it — in plain language, without the boilerplate.

1. Who we are

Gyroscope Technology (GTi), 555/20 On-Nuch Rd, Prawet, Bangkok 10250, Thailand, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions, requests and complaints can be sent to info@gyroinst.com or +66 (02) 328 6721.

2. What we collect

  • Details you send us: your name, company, country, email address, telephone number, message and any files you attach to a quote request, together with the reference number of the request.
  • Technical data recorded by our web server when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. We use this only to keep the site secure and to prevent abuse.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and provide the products, calibration or repair services you ask for.
  • To protect the website against spam, fraud and attacks.
  • To keep records we are required to keep under Thai law (for example, accounting and tax records for orders placed).

4. Our legal basis

Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act, we process enquiry data because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract (section 24(3)) and because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business (section 24(5)). For visitors in the EU or UK, the corresponding bases are Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Where we rely on your consent (the checkbox on the contact form), you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers this website and our business run on, and only as far as needed:

  • the form delivery service that emails your enquiry to us (Web3Forms), which processes it on our instruction;
  • our email and website hosting providers, which store the messages and files;
  • instrument manufacturers or their representatives, when a quotation can only be prepared with their technical input — limited to the details strictly needed for that quotation.

Videos embedded from YouTube are loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, and only when you choose to play them; playing them is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry data and attachments are kept while your enquiry is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a project again if you return. After that they are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@gyroinst.com; we respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you may complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The “inquiry basket” on the site is kept in your own browser’s local storage and is sent to us only if you submit the contact form; clearing your browser data removes it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the website handles personal data, we update this page and its date. This version: October 2026.
